ROB WALLACE of LazyCats Records

Rob Wallace began his music career at the age of nine and his music journey has taken him from the music and sound creations for video games, film, and television to award winning studio albums.

Rob's music career in video games was highlighted with 'Monster Bash' and 'Mario's Missing Deluxe'. His efforts were recognized in 1994 when he was awarded the EDDY Award for Best Children's Education Music & Sound. Rob has over 14 professional studio albums - solo, with his 'Lazy Cats', and collaborations with recording artists. The album of note is "White Buffalo" - a collaboration with Robert Tree Cody - which was nominated for a Grammy and which won the Native American Music Award 1998.

Rob's recording career began with meditation music - "Serenity Now" - and progressed to jazz and Native American music. He also played solo at gourmet restaurants in Denver and Grand Junction, Colorado, and later formed a trio who performed at special occasions and private parties.

Rob and Eagle Child met in 2005 in Grand Junction where Eagle had been invited to do his presentation on native teachings. Rob had previously worked with native artists and now sought a new project with a native flutist. Having been inspired by Peter Kater and R. Carlos Nakai's collaboration of "Natives", Eagle was delighted to work with Rob. Sharing the same inspiration for celestial music they combined their talents in two albums, "Meeting at the Heart" and "Spirit Echoes", which were introduced in a concert at the Sedona Life Center in March 2006 (with ThunderBeat on percussion).

In 2021, after listening to all the songs Eagle had recorded, Rob chose melodies within the songs to create the soothing whispers of celestial music - "Earth Song" and "Father Sky" - harmonizing their reflections of Spirit's embrace.

Rob continues to create a variety of musical mediums that artistically illustrate his versatility.

Rob's performances range from music production to recording artist . . . from soothing, relaxing, meditation music to jazz and urban beats . . . and from Native American flavors to eclectic sounds.
